Sport has more than a positive effect on our physical health. It also has a positive effect on our mind and on the way we interact with others. Starting with the veterans\u2019 and youth teams, the Congolese community of Hamilton and Area supports its members\u2019 sports activities. The community currently has a soccer team that represents the Congolese Community of Hamilton and Area in official competitions. Recently, the Congolese community of Hamilton won the Hamilton African Cup of Nations for the second year in a row by defeating Somalia (DRC 3 \u2013 Somalia 1). Sports activities improve young people\u2019s self-esteem, offer them protection and contribute to their physical and mental well-being.
