The Congolese Community of Hamilton and Area works to encourage investment by the Congolese diaspora of Hamilton and Area. The Congolese diaspora contributes to the economic and social growth of the DR Congo. The CCH helps create legal and institutional frameworks to facilitate investment channels between the Hamilton and Area diaspora and the DR Congo through a clear and credible roadmap.
The goal of this project is to create an enabling environment for the diaspora to invest directly in local projects in the DR Congo. This could include opportunities in real estate, business or infrastructure. Through mentorship programs, conferences and professional partnerships, the CCH also encourages diaspora professionals to share their skills and expertise with our compatriots living in the DRC. The CCH continues to educate its diaspora members about social and humanitarian issues in the DRC. Local development projects in the DRC can be funded or co-funded by our members. For this reason, the CCH encourages its members to visit the DRC as tourists, as this can generate income and strengthen cultural and family ties.
