Multiculturalism is an integral part of Canadian society. It allows everyone to preserve their identity, to feel proud of their roots and to share a common ideal. The Congolese community of Hamilton and Area invests heavily in cultural exchanges with other communities in the city, including language exchanges through classes in the DRC’s national languages (Swahili, Lingala, Kikongo and Tshiluba). To celebrate the richness of our differences for a more inclusive and understanding world, the Congolese community of Hamilton champions unity in diversity.
