Theme: “A diaspora for development: the diaspora’s contribution to the development of DR Congo depends on excellent local integration”
The diaspora plays an important role in reducing poverty and fostering development in the DRC. It is a crucial resource for progress. As we celebrate 62 years of our country’s independence, the Congolese Community of Hamilton and Area (CCH) firmly believes in the importance of its members integrating locally so that they are able to bring about change in Congo. We encourage our members to take every opportunity to train, specialize and improve their daily lives. “A strong member for a strong organization” is the framework through which the board of directors engages the members of our community to bring the best of themselves to the advancement of our community. The more we develop a culture of investing in ourselves and in the community, the better able we will be to take part in the development of our country.
You are therefore cordially invited to a GALA evening on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Courtyard by Marriott Hamilton hotel ( 1224 Upper James Street, Hamilton). On the Program: distinguished speakers, a shared Congolese dinner, a performance by a Congolese Rumba band and a DJ for special entertainment. Admission is free.
